The mountain

Madapow snow

Madarao Mountain is a powder hound's paradise. Spend a day here after a dump, and you will understand why the locals refer to their fluffy white snow as “Madapow.” Thanks to the renowned tree runs and low lift lines, you’ll cut fresh tracks until late.

With an average snowfall of 14 meters, an overnight dump sets you up for fresh floaty lines on the piste, reserving the famous tree runs for later in the morning. After something a little steeper head to Crystal Bowl and for advanced riders looking for that next level, we recommend getting a guide and heading into the backcountry.

Seeking family-friendly riding then grab yourselves an all-mountain pass and head over to Tangaram, the two resorts are connected with some nice family-friendly runs.

The Local area

We know you come for the snow but there are also many other great things to do in and around the local area. Head over to see the snow monkeys, possibly the best way to spend a day off. Or hit up one or more of the local onsens, if you have wheels your options are endless. Check out this page
